Larissa Ballarotti is a Brazilian performer and researcher in dance, theater and film. Her work is particularly interested in dramaturgical practices that explore the relationship between body and the literature of women writers.
She created and performed the play “Abominable” (2019), later adapted into a film bearing the same title and showcased at Mostra de Cinema Tiradentes, Brazil, in 2021.

Currently, Larissa is pursuing a Master’s program in Performing Arts with focus on cinematographic writing and analysis at ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles), where she is exploring her research on the adaptation of literature to film.

As a member of the theatrical collective Cara de Cavalo, she performs in the play “The Bride and Goodnight Cinderella” (2023), Chapter 1 of the Cadela Força Trilogy, directed and created by Carolina Bianchi. The spectacle had its premiere at Festival d’Avignon and followed on an european tour.

This year she began the creative process “A Librarian presents”, a project that develops her primary interest in the relationship between literature and performance, between writing and the body. As well it involves the development of a living catalog that pays homage to deceased writers.
